Shoppers Drug Mart has launched vending machines at select GO Transit stations throughout the Greater Toronto Area.  They are stocked with OTC items such as pain relief, allergy and lip balms as well as beauty, toiletry and seasonal items like umbrellas and sunscreen. Pricing will be the same as in store.

Loblaws is piloting a new in-store restaurant concept at their Maple Leaf Gardens location in downtown Toronto.  In a partnership with Globol $12 bowls of international cultural dishes will be offered along with catering. In addition to ordering via kiosk delivery is also available via Uber Eats and Door Dash. If successful they may roll it out to other locations.

In their ongoing efforts to combat the Omicron variant the Ontario government will distribute rapid tests to 2,300 pharmacies and grocery stores with pharmacy.  There will be 5 million each week for 8 weeks beginning February 9, 2022.  The tests will be free to consumers with a limit of 1 box of 5 tests per household.
